About the Artist. North Carolina based potter Jennifer Barbour captures the beauty of the natural world in her functional pottery. When not in the studio, you’ll find Jen and her family sailing the many bays and sounds of coastal NC. *All items available in the Sea Oats Cottage Studio.

Mini Bowls.
Available in Sea Foam and White. Thrown on a potter’s wheel using a speckled brownstone clay. Non-toxic, food safe glaze was added to the inside of the bowl and kiln fired to ensure durability. The uses for this size bowl in our own home have been endless. Kitchen prep, olives for our cheese boards, salsa, ice cream, change holder, shell collection bowl, etc.
Microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe (start in a cool oven).
Stands approximately 2" high, 5" in diameter

Oyster Dishes.
*Spoon Not Included.* Designed from local North Carolina oysters. A crisp, white glaze has been applied to the inside of each piece, the specks of the brownstone clay coming through. A beautiful oyster shell texture is on the exterior. Use as a ring dish, coffee spoon holder, salt cellar, or accent piece in the home. These dishes are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe (treat like stoneware and place in a non-preheated oven before increasing temperature).
Wide Oyster: 4.5” x 4.5"

Narrow Oyster: 5.5” x 3.25”

Boat Mugs.
Hand crafted, each one has its own character! A wide base provides much needed stability when a narrow cup holder is not close at hand. Add a more narrow mouth to the piece, and you’re less likely to splash your beverage. You tend to see this style on vintage boats.

All Items Hand Crafted by Jen at Salt of the Earth Pottery.
Made in Oriental, NC.
